Once the editorial team has verified that the submission follows the author’s guidelines for format and content, they send two anonymous external reviewers with experience in the field. Based on the reviewer’s recommendations, the editor will communicate the evaluation results to the corresponding author (rejected, accepted, or accepted with modifications), including the reviewer’s comments.
