Scope<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The objective of the Journal of Accessibility and Design for All (JACCES) is to publish theoretical and empirical articles that contrast and expand existing theories and construct new theses that contribute to the understanding of phenomena related to aspects of Universal Design, Equal Opportunities and the Inclusion for people with disabilities. Being an international journal, the language of publication is English.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Areas of interest<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

JACCES includes contributions, among others, in the following fields: (1) Engineering, (2) Architecture and construction, (3) Health and medical care, (4) Education, (5) Society and economics. The contributions can adopt methodological approaches, both quantitative and qualitative, guaranteeing the scientific quality of the communication.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Open access policy<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is published online following an open access policy. Therefore, all content is available for free without any charge to the user or their institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose, without requesting prior permission from the publisher or author. This is according to the BOAI definition of open access.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Publication frequency<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Journal of Accessibility and Design for All is published semi-annually, in May and November of each year. The two one-year numbers form an annual volume. The journal may also publish special issues on specific research topics. These special numbers may have specific editors. For these special numbers, specific calls for communications will be announced.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Review process<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

JACC selects articles for publication in a double-blind peer review system, following the practices of academic journals. Once the editorial team has verified that the submission follows the author’s guidelines for format and content, they send two anonymous external reviewers with experience in the field. Based on the reviewer’s recommendations, the editor will communicate the evaluation results to the corresponding author (rejected, accepted, or accepted with modifications), including the reviewer’s comments.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
