Accessibility in High Education

Accessibility and Universal Design also applies in teaching, specifically in Universal Instructional Design. In pedagogycal terms, it is about to design learning progress taking into account all students needs, including students with disabilities, without any difference nor special adaptations.

In general terms, accessibility in high educational organizarions also refers to the accessibility in the university environment, at physical, technologycal, human and social levels.

In 2012 there was carried out the sixth research of the University and Disability Observatory. The aim of UDO is to study and analyse all issues related to disability, universal accessibility and inclusive education in Spanish higher education. In this case, this year's specific disability issue under study is mental disability.
